Severe drought continues in the northern Plains and into the southern Canadian Prairie. Also, a lot of dry conditions from the southern Great Lakes westward into much of IA. The drought monitor was released today and is data as of April 27th. Since then, we’ve seen some pretty decent rains from southeast IA, IL, IN, and into OH. Some of this area has already gotten relief but we still have extremely dry conditions in place in much of IA and then the northern Plains and far northwestern belt.
